With an intense level of population growth in many metropolitan and regional communities across Victoria, a number of schools within these growth zones face unsustainable enrolment growth and are struggling to accommodate more than double the enrolments the present infrastructure catered for. In response to this growing demand, a2m Consulting has been appointed by the Victorian Government to provide full Cost Management Services for the development of seven new schools, inclusive of five P-6 facilities with a total enrolment of 525 pupils per school and two 7-12 schools of 1200 pupils each, which are programmed to be completed by the start of the 2021 school year.
a2m's role includes the delivery of cost management services from the establishment of preliminary budgets, site analysis plans, design and delivery, managing contractor tender review and will continue through to construction and financial close in January 2021.
