As housing affordability continues to remain a key issues for many within the Victorian community and a lack of available resources located within suitable proximity to transport and jobs the State Government is redeveloping public housing sites to deliver appropriate purpose-built housing, increase the amount of public housing, deliver affordable housing, and promote community integration between public and private residents.
Package 1 of the Public Housing Renewal Program comprises of the redevelopment of existing estates at New Street, Brighton; Racecourse Road, Flemington; and Bangs St, Prahran. The scale of the project affords the State Government with the opportunity to consider new housing delivery models and housing mixes.
a2m Consulting have been appointed as the project cost consultant and are currently providing general advice and assistance across all elements of Package 1.
The current program includes; the development of public sector comparators, RFP market engagement and evaluation, assistance with contract negotiation and execution, post-award design development, construction and commissioning and initial operations and post occupancy evaluation.
